Close/LeBow Move-in
8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
During move-in, faculty and staff from Close and LeBow will be available to greet you. In addition, your Peer Leaders will contact you to arrange a visit to your room to introduce themselves while you move in. *Note: All international students will be moving in even earlier on Monday, September 16th.

LeBow Parent Meet-and-Greet with the Dean (Parents Only)
1 p.m. – 3 p.m., Pearlstein 4th Floor
In the Pearlstein Business Learning Center, Dean Frank Linnehan and LeBow representatives from Advising, Undergraduate Program, and academic departments will welcome parents and guests and answer any questions. Light beverages and snacks will be provided. Please stop by any time between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. There is no formal programming. This event is for parents only.

The LeBow Amazing Race (LeBow Students Only)
3:30 p.m.– 6 p.m.,  Main Auditorium
Are you a leader? Creative problem solver? Team player? Prove it! This is your first chance to put these important business skills to work. Guided by your Peer Leaders, you and your classmates will work together in this competitive scavenger hunt designed to build teamwork skills while familiarizing yourself with Drexel and Philadelphia in a challenging and fun format. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams! (Attire is comfortable/casual – you will be going straight from this event to the welcome social.)

LeBow Welcome Social at the Academy of Natural Sciences (LeBow Students Only)
6 p.m. – 9 p.m., depart from Drexel Park
Go Global! – Enjoy dinner, music, dancing and museum exhibits with your new classmates! There is something for everyone! (Attire is comfortable/casual.)

This is not just any college lecture. Professor Chris Finnin will team up with one of Philadelphia’s dynamic business leaders to deliver your very first lecture in an exciting, engaging format. Topics discussed in this lecture will be revisited throughout your first year at LeBow.

Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community Dean’s Welcome Luncheon

Join us as we celebrate the first Living Learning Community at the Close School!  Dean Donna De Carolis will kick us off with a welcome to our community, and then its great food and conversations with fellow students, faculty and staff. 

Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community Rock Climbing Wall Adventure
1:30 p.m.—3:45 p.m., Drexel Recreation Center

After lunch, we'll walk over to the Recreation Center and have some fun.  Drexel's Climbing Wall is the perfect place to learn skills in entrepreneurship as well as great event to start building a strong community.  In this interactive exercise, you'll learn how to climb and establish trust with your fellow students.  


NOTE: All Close, LeBow and College of Arts and Sciences New Student Days activities are mandatory for all students.

This schedule only includes Close, LeBow and College of Arts and Sciences specific events taking place during New Student Days. Student Affairs will also be hosting many events during this time.
