On Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Drexel University’s Paul Peck Alumni Center, a panel of industry leaders and experts in information security, HIPAA-HITECH compliance and healthcare big data analytics systems design gathered as part of the Drexel University Cybersecurity Institute’s symposium: “The Anatomy of a Healthcare Data Breach: Protecting Patient Data Before and After a Breach,” moderated by 4A Security president, Ben Goodman. The panelists—including a forensics expert, a breach attorney and a cyber-insurance specialist who have experience with PHI breaches—discussed how to prevent breaches and protect healthcare information.
