Drexel University Cybersecurity Institute Featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer

The Philadelphia Inquirer recently featured the Drexel University Cybersecurity Institute in an Aug. 18 story examining the causes behind the rising demand for jobs in the cybersecurity field. Drexel Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Associate Professor and Institute Director Steven Weber, PhD and Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies Kapil Dandekar, PhD discussed how Drexel is responding to the growing number of cyberattacks (and the increasing need for professionals to address these threats) with academic programs such as the MS in Cybersecurity.

Established in 2013, the Drexel University Cybersecurity Institute educates the next cyber intelligent cadre that our city, region and nation requires to counter emerging threats and risks, while advancing professional cyber risk management in law and policy, privacy and enforcement in order to counter both criminal and advanced persistent threats associated with cyberattacks.
