Drexel University’s College of Computing & Informatics REThink CS @ Drexel program is hosting a research poster showcase for ten 2017-18 REThink Scholars.
 
Projects include:
  • Driver Distraction
  • Histology Image Analysis for Diagnosing Breast Cancer
  • Real-time Brain Sensing for Learning Assessment
  • Detecting mental illness through Twitter posts
  • Smart Garments for Perinatal Care

About REThink CS @ Drexel

REThink CS @ Drexel (Research Experiences for Teachers Site for Machine Learning to Enhance Human-Centered Computing) is a 6-week summer research institute open to STEM high school teachers and 2-year college faculty in the City of Philadelphia and Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. It is supported by National Science Foundation Grant No. CNS-1711773, 2017-20. The annual institute involves 10 teachers per year. The objectives of the program are to build partnerships between high schools, community colleges, industry and the university, introduce teachers to cutting edge computer science research with social impact, inform and excite them about computer science principles and computational thinking, produce learning materials for use in high school and community college STEM curricula which emphasize social relevance, and expand the pipeline of students studying STEM and computing curricula in college.
