Job overview: The Department of Information Science invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position in Computing and Security Technology (CST). The BS CST degree program provides hands-on experience in managing and operating computer servers, networks, Web and mobile systems, and databases with particular attention to secure operations. Students choose one of two concentrations: Computing Technology or Computing Security. The degree emphasizes hands-on learning and applied technology.

The department has a broad, multidisciplinary view of applied computing and information science. The College is an innovative leader in educating information professionals in the twenty-first century, combining high quality teaching and research in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The College offers five BS degrees, five master's degrees, and two PhD degrees.  

Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master's degree or higher in a related subject area.
Relevant, recent industry experience in information technology is highly desirable.
Operational expertise in the following areas is of special interest: Windows or Linux server administration, network administration, cybersecurity, computer forensics, devops, containerization, virtualization management and administration, network auditing tools, and enterprise systems management.
Excellence in teaching and teaching innovation and dedication to working with students is essential.  

Essential Functions: Successful applicants will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and be involved in service to the Department and College.
