CASTLE’s Director, Dr. Adam Fontecchio, and CASTLE’s Co-Director, Dr. Jennifer Stanford, have been invited to give a talk at the SXSW.EDU conference on March 5, 2018.  Along with their colleague Dr. David Delaine from The Ohio State University, they will be presenting a talk entitled “Modernizing Learning Using Experiential Education.” This talk will focus on different types of experiential learning, benefits and challenges of these experiences, and how these opportunities promote student engagement and intrinsic motivation for learning.  An important theme of the talk will be how experiential learning can be beneficial in promoting retention and learning among women and underrepresented minority students in STEM. View the submission video here.
