CASTLE Ambassadors Volunteer at the Philadelphia Science Festival

CASTLE @ Science Festival

April 30, 2018

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, seven CASTLE Ambassadors volunteered at the Philadelphia Science Festival to teach hands-on STEM lessons to the community. These undergraduate STEM majors delivered lessons dedicated to demonstrating and understanding the concept of sound. Brianna Wong, DragonsTeach student and leader of volunteer recruitment, shared, “The participants at the carnival, as well as our volunteers, had a lot of fun learning about sound through straw kazoos, tuning forks/water, and the classic cup and string telephone. It was a great time seeing all of the awe on the children's (and even the parents') faces. We cannot wait until next year for the next Philadelphia Science Carnival!” A special thank you to the CASTLE Ambassadors for their participation!
