CASTLE Introduces New Seminar Series: Features Provost Blake

CASTLE introduces a monthly Seminar Series which focuses on continuous improvements in STEM education teaching  and learning. Guests from a variety of institutions and internal experts from Drexel University are invited to lead conversations on local, regional and national trends in the transformation of STEM Education.

The first seminar focuses on current research and effective approaches in STEM education.

M. Brian Blake, Ph.D., Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affair will present on Wednesday, November 9, at 1:00 pm for the inaugural Seminar Series hosted by the Center for the Advancement of STEM Teaching and  Learning Excellence (CASTLE) with Drexel University. Dr. Blake brings a plethora of experience in Academic Affairs, Research Administration, and Diversity, and demonstrates his expertise in STEM Education.

The second speaker in the CASTLE Seminar Series is Frederic Bertley, PhD, Senior Vice President of Science and  Education with The Franklin Institute. CASTLE is excited to host Dr. Bertley and learn more of his experience in creating programs that aim to improve the quality of STEM education, K-16 science literacy and his civic engagement with the community of Philadelphia.
