Housing Application Detailed Steps Overview

The following is a detailed overview of each step in the housing application:

Introduction

Read information provided by University Housing regarding the relevant academic year.

Living Style

Complete a short survey which will be available to potential roommates and be used if University Housing assigns you.

Term Selection

Select the academic terms for which the student plans to live on campus.

Housing Preferences

Use this page to indicate any housing preferences. University Housing will utilize the preferences indicated here to assign the student to a space if the student chooses to not participate in Online Room Self-Selection or you are not eligible to do so. Please note that students are indicating preferences only. All preferences are subject to availability at time of selection or assignment.

Gender-Inclusive Housing

Gender-Inclusive Housing enhances the residential experience by allowing students to live with other students with whom they feel comfortable regardless of gender identity. This is an optional housing opportunity.

Special Services or Accommodations

Indicate if the student plans to contact the Office of Disability Resources with regards to special accommodations for the academic year. It is the student's responsibility to contact the Office of Disability Resources. University Housing or Office of Disability Resources will NOT automatically contact a student based on the information presented on this screen.

Contact Information

University Housing requires all students to have a local Emergency Contact on file. Use this page to provide that information. On this page, information from your DrexelOne account is also provided, but cannot be updated. To update a permanent address or your official Emergency Contact, log into DrexelOne.

Pre-Contract

This page will highlight important portions of the housing contract.

Online Contract

Electronically sign the Individual Housing Agreement. If a student is under the age of 18 at the time the housing contract is completed, a parent or legal guardian will need to contact the Office of University Housing to receive a parent pin number.

Confirmation

The student must complete the confirmation step to submit the application. This step will review applicable policies. Once the confirmation step is completed, the student will receive an email confirmation to their Drexel University email account.

Preferred Roommate Selection

Select any preferred roommates by searching for a specific person or searching based on the Roommate Survey. This page will also list anyone who has requested the student as a roommate. On this page, the student can also create a roommate profile which will be searchable by other students.

University Housing will utilize the Living Style Questionnaire to assign students who choose not to participate in, or are not eligible for, Online Room Self-Selection. Please note that students are indicating preferences only. All preferences are subject to availability at time of selection or assignment. Students have several options when searching for roommates.

  • Search for a specific student using their Last Name and their Web Screen Name (which is defined by the student on the housing application).
  • Browse for roommates by selecting answers to the Living Style Questionnaire.
  • Browse roommates who match the Living Style Questionnaire.
