The Creese Student Center has 7 conference rooms, 4 of which are for the exclusive use of student organizations and student-related events. The other 3 are for all university-related functions. Conference rooms of all sizes are available for use by the Drexel community. There are rooms that can accommodate a range of meetings sizes from 8 people to 156 people. George D. Behrakis Grand Hall
The Behrakis Grand Hall is the Creese Student Center's ballroom, located adjacent to the Main Lounge. It can divide into 3 sections, having 3 events occur simultaneously. Behrakis Grand Hall is frequently utilized for banquets, lectures, meetings and dances, as it can accommodate up to 500 people as a whole. Behrakis Grand Hall also includes an outdoor terrace that can be utilized for receptions and cook-outs.
Mandell Theater is the primary venue for the College of Media Arts and Design's Department of Performing Arts. It is a proscenium theater with a maximum seating capacity of 424 people and is handicap accessible. Samuel and Ida Mandell initiated its development for the enjoyment of students and the community. Mandell Theater houses productions by Drexel's Theater, Dance and Music programs as well as conferences, lectures, professional symposia and open houses. Events are scheduled in Mandell Theater by Nan Gilbert, Theater Manager, 215.895.2528.
The University Club is located in the City View room on the 6th floor of MacAlister Hall. The University Club offers faculty/staff, students and their guests a dining area where lunch is served. This dining room can also be reserved for a variety of functions and can accommodate up to 100 guests for receptions and 90 guests for banquets.
This large conference room allows for dining for guests in a presentation atmosphere. Equipped with audio/visual equipment, this room can be reserved for your next function.
Liberty View is a smaller conference room great for VIP events or if you need to have a round table discussion. It is equipped with a service bar and full audio/visual capabilities. Please contact Event and Conference Services for reservation information.
Handschumacher Dining Center
The Handschumacher Dining Center located in the Creese Student Center, is the heart of the dining program. The Dining Center offers a marketplace style dining experience and a variety of themed food stations. The Dining Center offers continuous service, breakfast through dinner, enabling you to enjoy meals at the times that are convenient for you. For more information click here.
The main lobby is located on the first floor of the Creese Student Center and is complete with comfortable seating, light music, a fireplace, Information Desk and much more. This lounge is an informal area, where students can meet friends, study or just relax. Additionally, various entertainment programs are presented here throughout the year.
The Quiet Lounge is located between the DragonCard Office and Mandell Theater lobby. There are tables, chairs and sofas where students can relax and catch up on reading or school work in a quiet atmosphere.
Charlotte Alletag Commuter Lounge
The Commuter Lounge is located on the lower level of Creese. This space provides informal meeting spaces for students to relax, study and meet other commuters. Although this space is primarily a lounge for commuters, all students are welcome. In addition, the space has small tables for informal group study, internet portals and two flat screens with Direct TV. Forgot your charger at home? Drexel Student Centers has you covered with our convenient charging stations with over 4 different chargers.
Dragon Shop Lounge
This lounge is located amongst the retail stores on the first floor of the Creese Complex. With large tables, over 25 seats, great natural light, this lounge is a prime spot for studying and working on group projects.
Greenawalt Student Development Center
The Greenawalt Student Development Center is located on the garden level of the Creese Student Center. This 10,000 square-foot space is the epicenter of student organization offices, work area and meeting spaces.
