Professor Abi Aghayere and Assistant Professor Yared Shifferaw assisted in bringing a 10-foot-tall steel teaching sculpture to Drexel thanks to the generosity of CAEE alum, Joe Messner, Jr., President and CEO of JGM, Inc. The sculpture was installed on September 15, 2017 outside of the Bossone Research Enterprise Center and was dedicated on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Charles Haas, LD Betz Chair Professor and Department Head, led the dedication along with Dr. Abi Aghayere and Joe Messner, Jr.
This sculpture will be used for instruction in courses including “Structural Steel Design,” “Structural Analysis,” and “Structural Design I.” Please read more about this teaching tool.
