Quick-Start Guide to Registration
Individualized Time Tickets

Freshman registration for Winter quarter courses will begin on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 with time ticket openings staggered over the course of November 18 and 19.

Background
By staggering freshman scheduling, we aim to ease the load on the system and ensure a smooth registration process. Time tickets will begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18 and open every half-hour until 8:00 PM, that is:

  • 6:00 PM
  • 6:30 PM
  • 7:00 PM
  • 7:30 PM
  • 8:00 PM

The same schedule will apply to time ticket openings on Wednesday, November 19. Freshmen registration groups will be broken out alphabetically. Students with a last name beginning with A – K will be assigned to a time ticket registration slot on Tuesday, November 18; students with a last name beginning with L – Z will be assigned a time ticket slot on Wednesday, November 19. Students will then be randomly assigned into the 5 sub-groups each night. Note that during course registration for the Spring term, A - K will register on the second day while L - Z registers on the first.

Once your time ticket has opened, it will remain open until December 28, 2008. It is important that you register as soon as your time ticket opens to ensure that you are able to enroll in required courses, as outlined by your Recommended Plan of Study.
