Quick-Start Guide to Registration
OVERVIEW

Registering for classes is a simple process as long as you plan ahead and have several schedule options ready when it's time to register.

Class Registration in 3 Easy Steps
1. Determine when you are scheduled to register for classes
2. Build your schedule ahead of time
3. Register as soon as your time ticket opens

1. DETERMINE WHEN YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Every student has a specific window in which they can register called a time ticket. To view your time ticket, log in to DrexelOne, click on the 'Students' tab and select 'Check Your Registration Information'. Select the upcoming term and view your time ticket.

If you have a hold on your account, you must see your academic advisor to determine the necessary course of action to have the hold removed, as you will not be able to register for courses until the hold is resolved. If you do not remove the hold in time for registration, you will delay your registration into courses and thus have difficulty securing your required classes.

Individualized Time Tickets
Note that freshmen students are assigned individualized time tickets.

2. BUILD YOUR SCHEDULE AHEAD OF TIME
Now that you know when you are scheduled to register, it's important that you plan ahead by creating a schedule using the tools below. It is recommended that you create your schedule at least two weeks prior to the opening of your time ticket. You may wish to create a Plan B and C in case any of your course selections are unavailable (full) when you attempt to register.

  • Download a Schedule Template
Building your schedule using one of the three templates below can be a surprisingly fun process. Color code each class and make sure to list the Course Registration Numbers (CRN) - those will be prove very useful later in the process! Get started by downloading one of the templates below:
  • Recommended Plan of Study
Your Recommended Plan of Study outlines the courses you are required to take and when they should be taken. Certain courses have pre-requisites and co-requisites, that is classes that need to be taken prior to or concurrently with the course you are registering for. These pre- and co-requisites can be found on the detail page of the course in the Term Master Schedule. To avoid delays during scheduling, ensure that your pre- and co-requisites are satisfied. To access your Recommended Plan of Study:

    1. Open the University Catalog
    2. Select the appropriate catalog (undergraduate or graduate)
    3. Find your major by selecting either 'List of all majors' or the College in which you are enrolled
    4. Select your major
    5. Finally, choose Recommended Plan of Study

Note: College specific collateral and information is available here.

  • Term Master Schedule
Access the Term Master Schedule (TMS) to review all courses that will be offered during the upcoming term. Each course is listed by section and includes detailed information about the class, including any co- or pre-requisites. To avoid delays during scheduling, ensure that your pre- and co-requisites are satisfied.

Note: You can use the TMS to view how many students have already registered for each section. On the master list for a major, hovering your mouse pointer over the five-digit Course Registration Number will show "Max enroll=15; Enroll=12". This tells you that out of 15 spaces, 12 students have already enrolled in the class. You can also access this information on the class detail page by clicking the CRN.

3. REGISTER AS SOON AS YOUR TIME TICKET OPENS
To enroll into the required courses indicated by your Recommended Plan of Study, it is important that you register as soon as your time ticket allows. Since you have already built your schedule on your computer, registering for classes is a few simple steps:

  1. Log in to DrexelOne
  2. Select the "Students" tab
  3. Click "Add/Drop Classes"
  4. Input your CRNs into the boxes located at the bottom of the page and hit "Submit"
  5. Congratulations! You've just registered for classes.
Note: If you encounter an error during registration, please refer to this list of common error codes.

Once you have completed the registration process, it is important to confirm that you have successfully secured your courses for the term. To view your schedule for the upcoming term:

  1. Log in to DrexelOne
  2. Select the "Students" tab
  3. Click "Student Detail Schedule"
  4. Select the upcoming term, hit "submit" and you're set
