Cognitive neuroengineering, biomedical signal processing, statistical signal analysis, optimal artifact removal, information processing, optical brain imaging, functional near infrared spectroscopy, working memory, attention, learning, reading and mathematical disabilities, cognitive aging, anesthesia awareness, and social anxiety disorders.

Bio

Meltem Izzetoglu was born in Samsun, Turkey in 1971. She received both her BS and MS in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1992 and 1995, respectively. She received her PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2002. She is currently a research assistant professor in School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems at Drexel University.
