Recreational Athletics
Recreational Athletics provides Drexel University students, faculty, and staff with a diverse range of recreational experiences in a safe, positive, and structured campus environment. Drexel's state-of-the-art recreational facilities play host to a variety of quality sports programs and services, including: intramural sports, extramural and club sports, indoor climbing and outdoor pursuits, programming, exercise classes, informal recreation activities, aquatics, and wellness training. Each day, more than 2,000 students, faculty, and staff participate in recreational programs at the University.
Intramurals
Recreational Athletics coordinates a comprehensive intramural sports program where Drexel students can compete in sports and tournaments with their peers. The program is designed to emphasize friendly competition in a safe recreational environment. All intramural activities are open to male, female, and co-ed teams who can choose playing days and competitive or non-competitive divisions. Each year, more than 5,000 Drexel students take part in intramural activities. Intramural sports events and programs vary each term.
Club Sports
Club sports are University-recognized organizations for students with a common sports interest who wish to pursue athletic activities on a consistent basis. Clubs are member initiated and organized with an emphasis on participation and competition. Drexel club sports are an excellent way to learn technique, strategy, and appropriate play with the goal of competing against other recognized undergraduate collegiate clubs locally and in the region. Each year, more than 1,000 Drexel students compete in the University's 33 club sports.
