Ambition Can't Wait

Not one student experiences Drexel the same way. So start thinking creatively. Take your wildest professional dreams, and then think bigger.

At Drexel, you can expect an educational experience that you will make all your own. Working side-by-side with accomplished professors, you will take on exciting opportunities in research, engage with the community around you, and so much more. Our world-renowned cooperative education program allows you to take what you learned in class and apply it to real-world scenarios, while exploring up to three different career paths before you even graduate.

Unparalleled Work Experience

Alex Uboldi (Marketing) knew that a college degree wasn’t enough to prepare him for the media world. He chose Drexel because of the added work experience from our cooperative education program, applying skills from the classroom toward DJing his own radio show and reading research analytics for NBC on co-op. Alex’s Drexel experience has more than prepared him for a career with a major broadcasting network.

Enrichment In and Out of the Classroom

Chanel Miller (Health Sciences) chose Drexel to learn how to help people reach their best health potentials while enriching her education with diverse opportunities. Working with medical professionals in the classroom through patient contact hours on co-op and musical talents out of the classroom from the Philadelphia Orchestra, her Drexel experience has provided a wealth of experience and set her on track to be a Physician’s Assistant.

The Pathway to Google

Halima Olapade (Class of 2016 – College of Computing & Informatics) learned valuable skills during her cooperative education preparation course, Co-op 101, and applied them on a journey across the U.S. and to Germany. With experience at SAP abroad and Microsoft here in the U.S., she accepted a job offer from Google.

The Pathway to Faculty and Campus Connection

Jake Herschman (Graphic Design), from his first visit to campus and an immediate connection with design faculty members, knew that Drexel was the pathway that could help him reach his goals. Our University City Campus, specifically the URBN Center, serves as an inspirational canvas for Jake’s imagination and enables him to bring creativity back into his work.

Freshman Year Research Opportunities

Tauheed Baukman (Materials Science and Engineering) delved into research as a freshman through Drexel’s Students Tackling Advanced Research (STAR) Scholars program. Because of his STAR Scholars research mentors, Tauheed is able to focus on wearable technology and incorporating energy into smart textiles during hands-on experience from our cooperative education program.

Test-Driving Careers Around the World

Shane Nelson (Class of 2017 – College of Arts and Sciences) made the most of his education during co-op through civic engagement here on campus, and abroad in Hong Kong and London. Because of his foundation built during the Co-op 101 course and working alongside industry professionals, he is prepared to excel.

Resources from Cooperative Education to Career

Jenna Bechard (Class of 2016 – College of Engineering) discusses the value and variety of services which prepare students for their job search before entering the workforce.

Your Connection to Industry Opportunities

Associate Director of Career Services Nicole Dalberto describes the various ways Steinbright connects students with Drexel's network of partners. This access fosters viable employment opportunities after graduation.

No Boundaries: Experience in Philadelphia and Abroad

Jacky Liang (Class of 2016 – College of Engineering), who chose to work in Shanghai, China, describes the unique opportunities that have been afforded to him by working abroad.
