Learning Through Participation in the Community

The Center for Civic Engagement provides high-quality community-based learning programs and services to students, faculty members and our local and global communities. These programs and services promote student learning in the areas of personal and social responsibility, civic knowledge and engagement, intercultural awareness and competence and ethical reasoning, and action through the application of knowledge, skills and responsibilities in real-world settings.

The Center for Civic Engagement is responsible for convening and supporting University-wide elements of UNIV 101, including a required civic engagement project, in collaboration with the UNIV 101 Steering Group.
