What makes the M.S. in Food Science program different?

Goodwin College serves as an excellent environment for graduate students learning, researching, and practicing food science.

Just as Drexel broke new technological ground when it became the first university in the nation to require every student to have access to a personal computer, Goodwin College's program stays at the forefront of technological education in the field as the field of food science becomes increasingly dependent on technology.

Full-time faculty members with diverse academic and professional experiences provide students with the right balance of theory and practical knowledge.  Other unique advantages to Goodwin’s M.S. in Food Science program include:

  • Small classroom size, allowing for more hands-on learning, close relationships with fellow students and professors, and an emphasis on group discussion over lectures.
  • Experiential learning through research projects.
  • A multidisciplinary curriculum to train well-rounded practitioners and educators in the food science field.
  • Completion of a master’s degree in as few as six quarters.
