Drexel University's Urban Health Collaborative (UHC) at the Dornsife School of Public Health aims to increase scientific knowledge and public awareness of urban health.

Urban health is a global challenge, and the UHC is committed to spreading widely the ideas and information that can make people’s lives healthier.

Rebekah Israel Cross is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Chicago. Her talk explored this theme within the context of philanthropy: how the current philanthropic system can perpetuate health equity retrenchment (the reduction of investment to improve health equity), and a real-world example of this taking place within the Chicago public housing system.
