Planning Your Visit to The Drexel Collection

Dating back to 1891, the same year the Drexel Institute of Art, Science and Industry was founded, the Drexel Founding Collection serves as a passport to appreciate art from around the world—as well as to understanding the history of the University. The curators of the Founding Collection invite alumni, students, faculty, staff and the public to visit the three galleries on the University City campus that house this rich Collection.

Admission is free, and the galleries are open to the public.

Tours

For visitors interested in a guided tour, the Drexel Founding Collection offers group and individual tours led by the Collection’s curator. Tours should be scheduled with at least two weeks' notice.

For more information on how to schedule a tour or visit, contact the Drexel Founding Collection at 215-895-2414 or drexelcollection@drexel.edu.

Class Workshops

For faculty interested in bringing their students to the Founding Collection, touring specific exhibitions or using Collection materials for coursework, please contact the Director of the Collection, Lynn Waddell, lcc48@drexel.edu, at the beginning of the Academic term to schedule a workshop or tour.
