Campus Dining

Handschumacher Dining Hall – The main campus dining hub, Handschumacher (or "the Hans" as students call it), offers college dining basics like grilled cheese, pasta, cereal, and pizza. But if your palate is a bit more sophisticated, you'll enjoy the sushi bar and the popular international station. Don't worry if you're vegan or vegetarian, the Hans offers a wide variety of fare for you too. Students who eat kosher can contact Dining Services for more information about the meal plan.

Northside Dining Terrace – Located in the heart of Drexel's residential section, the Northside Dining Terrace offers fare from Currito, Subway, and Chick-fil-A. We recommend nuggets and waffle fries for a truly satisfying lunch.

Creese Café – The Creese Café is the one-stop-shop for students looking for a bite to eat before or after classes. Its central location in the Creese Student Center allows students to grab a quick snack and still make it to class on time.

ThirtyOne41– Main Building's ThirtyOne41 sells coffee, tea, and assorted pastries. Located in Drexel's famed Great Court, ThirtyOne41 is a prime spot to people watch.

Ross Commons – Built in 1888 by architect T.P. Lonsdale, Ross Commons is one of the most beautiful buildings on campus. Today, Ross Commons is a great place to meet friends, grab a bite at Sabrina's restaurant (the University City location of the famous Philadelphia bruncherie), and relax. The mansion's rooms have been converted into lounges where you can play pool or read a good book.

Food Trucks – We'd be remiss to neglect to mention food trucks. A staple of life in a major city, food trucks can be found throughout our University City neighborhood. Drexel trucks offer variety and selection. You can experiment with ethnic foods from around the globe or pick up a crepe for an impromptu picnic on the quad. And yes, if you have to, you can find a great Philly cheesesteak.

Starbucks – You won't have any trouble finding a Starbucks in Philadelphia; there are 11 locations of the perennial coffee chain within a mile of Drexel's campus. For those days when you need that Venti Frappucino® or half-caf soy latte before class, stop by Drexel's Starbucks, located in the Pearlstein Business Learning Center.

University City – Of course, there will be times when you'll want to venture off campus for some fine dining. Drexel's University City location provides access to some of the best-kept restaurant secrets in Philadelphia. University City has a diverse array of international cuisines — from Asian-fusion and French to Indian to Ethiopian. And most of our neighborhood restaurants offer discounts for college students. Visit the official University City District website to find the most up-to-date list of local eateries.
