Senior Associate Vice President

Rita LaRue earned a Master of Science degree from Drexel University and joined Drexel’s Division of Student Life and Administrative Services in 1997.

Over the past twelve years she has focused on developing Drexel Business Services into a versatile department that gives direction and leadership on strategic and operational issues. Drexel Business Services is responsible for annual budgets of $60,000,000 in revenue and $30,000,000 in expense, providing management, programming, and oversight of the University’s bookstores, vending, campus dining, catering services, event & conference planning, DragonCard services, student unions, campus housing, parking services, printing and mailing services and business partnerships.

LaRue is an active and avid sportswoman, a third degree black belt in karate, and an Assistant Coach for the Drexel Karate Club, 2008 National Champions. In addition, she serves the community as the Chair of the Board of Directors for UC Green, vice chair of University City Green and as a member of the University City District Fundraising Taskforce and the Clark Park Fundraising Committee.
